Attended first StartUp Saturday in Mumbai yesterday. Decent speakers I would say.
Things shared at Startup
1. Marketing activities taken by GroupBuying Site
a) Sold cinema tickets at Rs 12/ticket. Out of pocket expenses and it created the hype. Then got lucky in getting tickets for a match where Tenduler and Gambhir were playing.
U have to think differently. Paying out of pocket initally to create the hype.
2. Presentation from Aji was good
Asked to checkout sites like Knowem.com and rodinhood.com.
Told new concepts like
a) Remarketing google ads.
b) Brand and Industry Marketing
c) Google Alert and Affilate Marketing
d) Startupsaturdaygenie and slidesahre
Overall it was nice experience.
